Why the Beginning?
There are two schools of thought when it comes to the debate over the existence of Ggod - Creationists and Evolutionists.
Creationists put faith over science, Evolutionists prefer things the other way round. Creationists believe that God created the Earth and everything on it. Evolutionists believe in the natural progression called evolution and the Big Bang as well but definitely not the Creator. When it comes to Christianity, Creationists believe that God created the Earth, and Adam and Eve along with it. Evolutionists believe that the Earth did not start with man. There are Creationists who are ready to believe in evolution, but not the Big Bang. There simply has to be a Creator.
In short - Creationists believe in God, Evolutionists simply say god.
This fight, in essence, comes down to what happened at the beginning of time. But let me ask you -
Why the beginning?
Why is religion shrouded in promulgating that we were “created”?
Why are scientists keen to prove that the Big Bang actually happened?
Why is “how was this world created”, “where do we come from” a topic of concern?
Why do you want to know the origin of life?
Neither the Creationists nor the Evolutionists can definitively prove their respective theories.
So why fixate on this topic?
Is it because being The Creator makes God powerful and omnipotent? Is it because knowing the science behind how we came to be can help us understand the universe? Both the arguments feed into either the ego of Ggod or that of man. Sure, those arguments address the needs of Creationists and Evolutionists, respectively. But you can’t prove either! It’s pointless.
You can only say that you assume these things, you believe these things, hence you are. Alright! But why should what happened at the beginning of time define who you are right now? Why?
